The life of every body that be imprisonned in a concentration camp was change and influence for the rest of their lives. Because they have come close to death, they work very hard during a long time and they have living conditions humiliting. A lot of prisonner are sicks and they die. If they survive at this horrors, they don't see the life with the same look. I think that imprisonment in concentration camps was really not a good manner to treath the Jews and this war as influence the life of a most of people are not imprisonned.

Yes, I think that Guido was right to hide the horrors of the concentration camp to his son, because his son was very young and he can't understand what was the truth life for the Jews between 1939-1945. His small boy Giosè will don't have bad memories, so Guido do a very good thing for the future life of his little child. He also sacrefied his life for his son and his wife, Dora. He showed courage and boldness, this secret allowed him to stay alive for a long time.
